Samuel Pepys Variety Show.

On Wednesday 8th February 2012 we held a variety show and it was definately that. There was loads of talent, laughter and fun. A great time was had by all and we went learnt things we didn’t know about people!

School Closure in bad weather.

In the event of severe weather we will try to keep school open as far as
possible. Should the roads be so severely affected that transport operators and/or staff cannot reach school safely we may make a decision to close.

Key Stage 3 all joined together and made up some shoe box gifts to send to Children in poor countires. They collected from staff, parents and students soft toys, stationary, gloves, hats, sweets, dolls, cars and lots more and then put them in shoes boxes covered in Christmas Wrapping paper ready to send.

The students really enjoyed putting the boxes together and we are sure the children recieving them will have great pleasure with their contents.

Crazy hair!

On Wednesday 6th April we were lucky enough to have a theatre company come to school and put on a production called Crazy Hair. It was excellent and a great time was had by all. There was a lion and a huge bear in the story and some really cray hair!.

Today for Comic Relief staff and students were able to dress in what they liked to raise money. There were also some really yummy cakes for sale too. We managed to raise £126.

A Magic Show.

Today we were all spoilt by being entertained by a magic show. The Magician used to his magic to tell us about Healthy Eating. He asked staff to help him and everyone found it really funny. He had a puppet that helped him with magic. These photos show what we all got up to.

Indian Day.

On Tuesday 1st February we had an Indian day. There were various activities all day such as food tasting, trying on Indian clothes, drumming and dancing. Everyone had a great day here are some photos of what we got up to.

All Stars.

We are pleased to announce that our new After School Club called ‘All Stars’ is starting on Monday 20th September. It is on 4 days a week, Monday to Thursday. If you would like any more details please contact the school office and ask to speak to Lisa.

World War 2.

On the 5th July we had some visitors to school that gave us an insight as to what it was like in World War 2. We were able to dress up and look at some equipment such as gas masks. We had a great time as you can see from the photos below.

African day.

Today, Wednesday 21st April we had an African day at Samuel Pepys. There were lots of exciting things to do including African dancing, food tasting, African art workshop, a storyteller and learning all about different things in Africa and the way people live. We also learnt about our partner school in Gambia called Jofi.
